Even if you change a dozen of “Ashotyans” nothing will change: Armen Ashotyan

Transformation of the political system is not over. Freedom, democracy ... this is not a program written on a hard disk to download it, that's all.

“We live badly because we cannot still believe that we can arrange our own life with our own intelligence and diligence. Unfortunately, part of the society is waiting for help, charity, rent ...,” RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan believes that in this context, the state’s responsibility is to create such a perception of fairness, as a result of which people will believe in themselves.
Former Minister of Education and Science Ashotyan claims no issue in the sphere of education will get final solution even after 10-15 years. “There is no country that has completely solved all its problems. And there is no such nation where the parent pays the headmaster so that the child can skip the classes. And while there are students who are trying to pass exams in another way, you will not be able to prevent corruption, even if you bring a dozen of Ashotyans,” Armen Ashotyan says.
For being active in social networks Ashotyan was repeatedly criticized. Today he happily notes that the social networks for which he was criticized have become the main place of activity for these critics. “I am glad that I was the first Armenian politician in social networks, and life proved that not only was I right that I was there, but they also made the right choice to be there,” Ashotyan says.
The politician that holds high positions and possesses serious levers assures he does not have his own business neither de jure nor de facto. “I would like to have a business, I'm not ashamed of this, on the contrary, I will be proud if I do something good,” Armen Ashotyan notes.
What kind of business does Ashotyan dream about? How has his life changed after the mishap in the course of the "Electric Yerevan" movement? The answers to these and many other questions in the program “Hard Talk”.
