Metaphorically speaking, Pashinyan called the judges from the square and handed the phone to the people
A retrospective look at the results of Pashinyan’s 100-day government. Were the expectations met? Political analyst Hayk Martirosyan believes that the expectations of many people have been met. “I think that the Prime Minister addressed the problems of society and the people, there were answers to many questions, as well as two very important circumstances were revealed,” the political analyst says. One of these circumstances, in his opinion, is that the government realizes that the revolution has not yet been completed and that it needs to be carried out in judicial and legislative systems.
“I’ve proposed to dissolve the National Assembly and the judicial system right there with the help of the square. Pashinyan went a little different way, but the result will be the same. He went to a more difficult, crueler and time-consuming way that is a constitutional referendum,” Hayk Martirosyan explains.
The political analyst assesses Pashinyan's message to the judges as an interesting step, in particular, that he will continue not to call them. “But he called the judges from the Republic square and handed the phone to the people ... metaphorically speaking, and the people talked to the judges. And I think that the judges received this clear message - those who will act as judge Azaryan will end up in prison,” Hayk Martirosyan comments on Pashinyan's message.
