Hrant Bagratyan: We need completely different Armenia
Head of political party “Freedom”, MP, parliamentary candidate nominated by the party “Free Democrats” Hrant Bagratyan
What will happen if the “Free Democrats” come to power? The second on the proportional list of the party, as well as the “Free Democrats” candidate for prime minister, Hrant Bagratyan emphasizes, at least half of the elite will be dismissed. “100 percent of the judges and National Security will be fully dismissed. There is no other way. We cannot change these people, we need different Armenia,” Bagratyan says.
Elected as an MP from “Armenian National Congress” alliance Bagratyan confesses, they failed to be effective in 95% of cases of the legislative framework. However, he mentions several legislative changes that have been implemented due to their efforts. “Without us, there would not be the law "On Turnover Tax” which slightly eased the situation of people, would not be the amendment to the law on “Information Technologies.” The Funded pension system would be terribly spread, which is a disaster for the country,” he claims.
Bagratyan also touches upon accumulated debts of Armenia, which he considers highly dangerous. “For me, all those countries that take on new debts to cover the old ones are considered defaulting countries. Under former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, in an absurd way, 500 million Russian loan was repaid of more than 7% Eurobonds. “Offshore and staff like that” they should definitely pay for these… these are crimes, real crimes,” the parliamentary candidate says.
