Ukraine condemned the Ukrainian mercenary snipers: Alexander Bozhko
Ukraine was the first among the CIS countries to adopt a law against mercenaries. And those, who fought for money in the Artsakh war by Azerbaijan, were arrested upon return. Former Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia, Alexander Bozhko, stresses that this trial was widely covered by the Ukrainian media, but information about it was not disclosed in Armenia. “I was surprised that there were no responses in Armenia, as it was interesting to Armenians, but most likely for some political forces it was beneficial to present Ukrainians as mercenaries,” the former ambassador says.
Alexandra Bozhko also regrets that Armenia and Ukraine do not have a common geopolitical concept. “Our goals coincided in the past and now it is a riddle for me where Armenia is heading. It is clear in the case of Ukraine, we paid very dearly for the European direction. In the case of Armenia, it's not entirely clear,” Alexander Bozhko notes.
