When patriotism is a pathos or "holy cows" of Armenia

Logos, Ethos or Pathos? The discussion of journalist Gayane Abrahamyan and political analyst Anush Sedrakyan.

What is patriotism, pathos and populism? According to journalist Gayane Abrahamyan the definition of this rhetorical question comes yet from Aristotle’s time. To influence the public, three main principles are used: logos, ethos and pathos "It is natural that pathos should redominate  in Armenia because logos is missing. While talking about the army you do not talk about its problems, it's a pathos. When pathos predominates, it causes break between the public and the system",- says Gayane Abrahamyan adding that patriotism is not measurable.

According to political analyst Anush Sedrakyan, when a person is lying, then the pathos follows it immediately. "Let me explain why. Because there are "holy cows" in each nation’s mentality. Do not take it as а hint, I speak about "holy cows" as an ideological phenomenon and they are different for each nation. There are only three "holy cows" in Armenia",- says Anush Sedrakyan.
