People have been deprived of the right to vote so only of street remained - Armen Grigoryan
The revolution in Armenia is really from fantasy genre. A month ago it would be very difficult to convince people that this is possible. Analyzing the events of the past few weeks, Armen Grigoryan, coordinator of the “Reject Serzh” initiative, emphasizes that this happened, as many people dreamed about it. “There have been fundamental changes, but most importantly, people began to believe in themselves. Everyone considers this revolution to be his own, he feels that this is his revolution,” Grigoryan says, adding that this revolution cannot be taken away from anyone.
Armen Grigoryan emphasizes that the revolution de facto took place, we just need to formalize it. “The first stage will be held on May 8, I hope that the Republicans will elect the PM, then free and fair elections will be held in order to formalize the revolution. Any revolution should be fixed by fair elections; it is necessary to create such a basis to avoid similar a crisis. All this happened because in the past there were no free and fair elections,” he notes.
Grigoryan also stresses that people have two ways to exercise their power: elections and street. “Elections were taken from us, so only the street remained,” he says. Find the details of the conversation in the program “Paradigm”.
