Tevan Poghosyan and Alen Ghevondyan about the developments in Artsakh

In case of problems in Artsakh from the point of view of security, Armenia will cease to exist physically.

Are the issues in Artsakh profound, bloated, or, perhaps, some people try to take advantage of the situation? In response to this question, political analyst Alen Ghevondyan notes that Artsakh is a scale model of Armenia. The problems existing in Armenia with some adjustments also exist in Artsakh society. “I believe that the situation formed there cannot be due to one factor as it is many-sided. It is important to distinguish between the reason and the cause. Anything from a domestic dispute to family quarrels can serve as a cause, but the reasons are surely deeper,” the political analyst stresses.

The head of the International Center for Human Development Tevan Poghosyan highlights the problems that have accumulated over time due to various phenomena, as well as the role of the new generation. “On the one hand, I am glad that Artsakh has proved that it is not a ‘closed’ society, but alive, where problems can be voiced. There is no more old idea that they do not raise issues there, but try to hide them,” Tevan Poghosyan says. He also adds that, nevertheless, we should realize that it is a priority, understanding the external situation facing Artsakh.
